Dennis W. Doris Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Self-Defense Instruction

Mr. Doris received the Hall of Fame Award for Individual Achievement from the United States Martial Arts Association

OXFORD, PA, September 26, 2011 /Sports PR News/ -- Dennis Doris, Master Instructor for Peterson's Hap-Do Martial Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in self-defense instruction.

For the past 12 years, Mr. Doris has acted as a master instructor for Peterson's Hap-Do Martial Arts. Demonstrating expert program management skills, he ensures that the school is running smoothly and the curriculum is followed. Growing up with disabilities, he specializes in teaching self-defense to students with disabilities. The highlight of his career was presenting a self-defense course and demonstration at Fort Dix to families of soldiers going overseas as well as those involved with the USO in 2006.

Mr. Doris holds certifications in self-defense awareness, hand-to-hand combat instruction for the military, criminal counter measures, and an international certification in teaching self defense and marital arts to the disabled. He instructs at two different schools and has attained the levels of first-degree black belt in jujitsu, fifth-degree black belt in hap-do combined arts, and a fourth-degree black belt in karate-do. Through his hard work and dedication, he placed first in self-defense, weapons and form at the 99th Karate International Association Competition in Maryland. Recently, he received the United States Martial Artist Association's Hall of Fame Award for Individual Achievement. For these accomplishments, it should come as no surprise that Mr. Doris was inducted into Cambridge Who's Who as a VIP member.
