Vuyisile Colossa Soars To The Top With Stanford Who's Who

Vuyisile Colossa has earned the recognition of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his magnificent work in the martial arts.

    HONG KONG, November 17, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Vuyisile Colossa has earned the recognition of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his magnificent work in the martial arts. As CEO of the Colossa Institute of Mixed Martial Arts, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Mr. Colossa has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.

Established in 2004, the Colossa Institute of Mixed Martial Arts has operated under the concept of giving back to the underprivileged community all the knowledge and skills learned from martial arts over the years, and to become a home for upcoming fighters from Hong Kong and Africa with the goal of earning them international recognition. The Institute focuses on the welfare and the upbringing of fighters as well as the teaching of Muay Thai and MMA, and the health and wellness benefits of the sport.

Vuyisile began his kickboxing career in 1998 at the age of 15. That same year, he was awarded 3rd place in the Free State championships and was included in the South Africa 1st team. He went on to win a bronze medal in the SA Fighting Championships. Mr. Colossa was the winner of several other competitions and awards over the next few years as his career truly took off.

In 2002, Vuyisile received the Premier's Youth Award in Bloemfontein and won his first two professional titles: South African Full Contact Kick Boxing Title and the Ring Contact Fighting Art International Welter Weight Kickboxing Champion Title. In 2003, he became the South African Professional Kick Boxing Council Middleweight Champion, Thai Boxing Champion, and the runner-up for the W.A.K.O Pro World Title. Then in 2006, Vuyisile was the runner-up of the King of the Ring World Title.

Since moving to Hong Kong, Vuyisile has competed at the King's Cup; Planet Battle in June and November of 2008; I-1 World Grand SLAM in Hong Kong in October of 2009; and I-1 Grand Extreme in Macau in November of 2009. Mr. Colossa is a member of the Southern African Association of Hong Kong.
