Nicholas Creative Launches Wonderlic-Inspired Quiz for Football Fans
Nicholas Creative Media develops a new quiz for fans modeled after the Wonderlic Test NFL players take and allows users to compare their scores to famous football players.
EAST LANSING, MI, December 30, 2010 /Sports PR News/ -- Michigan web design company Nicholas Creative developed a tool this football season that mimics the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test (WCAT) that future NFL players take prior to each year's draft to evaluate their intelligence. The "Are you Smarter Than A Football Player?" quiz invites fans to measure their own smarts and receive a ranking based on famous football players' scores.
The WCAT is a twelve-minute, fifty-question test used to measure the test taker's aptitude for learning. The NFL uses this test to assess potential players' levels of intelligence. Historically, only one player in the NFL has received a perfect score, former Cincinnati Bengals punter and wide receiver Pat McInally.
Despite the test's effectiveness to measure basic intelligence throughout a variety of occupations, the results do not always correlate to success on the field. Former Michigan quarterback Drew Henson scored a 42, a very high score, but he never made an impact in the NFL. On the other hand, longtime Raiders placekicker Sebastian Janikowski scored a 9 and has had a long, successful career.
The Nicholas Creative test based on the real WCAT is scaled down to 15 questions that must be answered in 3 minutes and 36 seconds.
